TSH or Thyroid Stimulating Hormone or also known as Thyrotropin is a critical hormone that stimulates the Thyroid Gland to produce Thyroxin (T4) and T3 (Triiodothyronine). TSH itself is produced by the pituitary gland when TRH (Thyrotropin releasing hormone) stimulates it. The Hypothalamus is responsible for producing TRH.
